I don’t know about you, but being a mom later in life definitely has it’s additional challenges (and benefits). Throw in an unsuspecting, or not so unsuspecting person referring to you Grandma, and you may become dumbfounded. It might even ruin your day. Here’s what to say when someone calls you Grandma.
These will let you walk away from these awkward situations with a big old smile on your face. Hopefully it will also result in making people think twice before referring to someone as Grandma. As well as giving you a good laugh for the day.
What to say when someone calls you Grandma.
I’m Not Grandma, I’m a GREAT MOM!
This may leave them thinking wow, she looks great for her age. And lets you walk away smiling, because you know you just really confused that person.
Child? What Child?

Running away could backfire on you. They may take you seriously, and they may call the police. So after you freak them out (definitely have to freak them out first) explain that you’re the Mom and don’t appreciate being referred to as Grandma.
I’m The Mom, When Are You Due?
The key to having the most impact with this one is to walk away before they can respond. It will leave them thinking, what just happened?
Be careful when using this comeback. Just because they may have hurt your feelings, they probably didn’t call you Grandma because they were trying to be mean.
Try using this one on a skinning person, then they’ll be the ones who walk away dumbfounded, not you.
